The Farm of Hope is in Kiliba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, near the border with Burundi. It is a school for orphans and other victims of war.

Founded in 2002, it has benefited from the beginnings of peace since 2003 and it is possible now to make sensible plans.

Working with a community of online volunteers using the mechanism of NABUUR.COM the Farm of Hope has developed this proposal, and invites organisations, service and community groups, families and individuals to contribute.

There are three kinds of possible contribution:

• Projects of immediate need including food and medical care

• Projects for development of new buildings

• Staff support for these programs.

We invite your attention to the options for support at the end of this paper.

We emphasise that this is a genuine local initiative, built with support from a 'family' or 'virtual village' built at kiliba.nabuur.com — the discussions there are open to all. We invite you to take a look — to help you trust this project.
